MAPs: Sending Connection Requests and Setting Prices

This is a step-by-step guide for MAPs to build their network by connecting with Labs/Clients on MOMS.

To serve as a collection site for the Labs/Clients on the My One Medical Source® (MOMS) network, you must connect on the platform. *If you are not connected with any Labs/Clients, you will not appear as a collection site for patients in your community.

Both networks can initiate connection requests on the platform. To send a connection request to a Lab/Client, navigate to the Labs/Client network menu on the left hand side of the portal.

To add a new Lab/Client, click the plus sign to view the current labs utilizing MOMS. You can click the Lab/Client name to view their tests/panels so you know whether or not you can perform the required collection. Once you verify that you can perform the collection successfully, click "Add Lab/Client" to send a request.

The Lab/Client will receive an invitation request from your MAP via email and in the notification center of the platform. They can either approve or deny your connection request. Labs may deny your request for a variety of reasons, including, but not limited to not using mobile phlebotomy, no coverage needs in your market, etc. If the connection request has not been reviewed in two weeks, the request will expire. You will be able to re-send the connection request if it has expired.

Once the Lab/Client approves your connection request, you will be in their MAP network as a collection solution for patients in your community. The next step is to review the pricing for the draws.

To determine who is responsible for the draw fee (either the Lab or the Patient), click the Lab/Client name. If the panel is patient-pay (i.e., the patient pays for the collection), you are able to set the price for the collection. To do so, click the box next to the respective panel name and enter the price for your facility. Be sure to click "Enter" or "Return" to save the price.

If the panel is Lab Pay, you will not be able to edit the price as that is the fee the lab is comfortable paying for the draw. However, we understand that different demographic markets require different prices, so we give MAPs the ability to request a custom price for the collection. To do so, click the panel and then "Request Custom Price."

Enter your requested price for the respective panel and click "Submit Request." Keep in mind that this is a request which can be approved, denied, or the Lab/Client can opt to split the payment with the patient. Once the custom price request has been reviewed, you will receive an email and notification with the update. *Custom price requests must be approved prior to a patient scheduling a collection at your facility. If a draw is scheduled prior to the custom price request being approved, the draw fee will be the default price as set by the Lab/Client.
